Kara's Football Recipe Roundup

With football season in action, having some healthy options for the parties is a must. We love finding new recipes to share with friends while enjoying their company and watching the game. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below for you to take a look at. Bringing a healthy dish ensures that you’ll be all set with a dish that will leave you feeling good without guilt.

Kara's Football Recipe Round-up

Here are some of my suggestions

Recipe One: Buffalo Chicken Dip

What’s football season without buffalo chicken? The girls at the gym passed this recipe around last year during football season. I would use Greek cream cheese in this recipe instead of a low fat one. I like Green Mountain Farms brand because it has a little protein in it with half the fat.

Recipe Two: Nachos

Nachos are a great addition to any party. Using vegetables instead of chips can be a fun way to switch it up. I’m thinking this could be made with some sweet potato slices or beets as well!

Recipe Three: Guacamole

Guacamole is a great dip to have with some veggies on the side, but I found this recipe with a little twist on your regular guac. She uses almond milk soft cheese but I think you could substitute that with feta cheese if desired.

Recipe Four: Brownies

Last year I made these brownies during football season and they were a big hit! Really simple and you totally don’t taste the beets.

Recipe Five: Meatballs

Meatballs can be a great side dish to include for some protein. I like how she put them on skewers to quickly grab on your small plate.

Recipe Six: Pulled Pork

Pulled pork can be another great high protein meal to please a crowd. Serve with some baked sweet potatoes or buns to create a satisfying meal.
